Firesmart aims to help you through the assessment process for your overnight accommodation business.

The Firesmart app presents a series of questions around fire hazards, people at risk and fire prevention. You can add notes and photos in direct relation to your Guest House or B&B. For example, if a mattress needed replacing with a fire retardent mattress, a photo and note could be added to the system as a useful reminder.

The system provides useful help notes and guidance and, if you are still unsure, customers can contact our support line for additional assistance from an experienced fire risk assessor.

Once you have completed the process, the system consolidates the issues you have identified into an Action Plan. This means you can clearly see the fire risks you have recorded and make a plan for resolving or mitigating them. So, in the example above, when the mattress was replaced, you could update the system to state that the problem was resolved.

The system can generate a final copy of your fire risk assessment as a pdf which you can keep online, download or print.
